Our Partners


The executive body of the Chinese Language Council International, is organized as a non-governmental and non-profit organization, with funding from the Chinese Ministry of Education. In partnership with institutions of higher education, Hanban has launched the development of more than 288 Confucius Institutes globally, and approximately 60 in the U.S. Hanban supports these Confucius Insitutes in its effort to facilitate the development and accessibility of teaching resources for Chinese language and culture. Our Chinese university partner in Shanghai, is one of China’s 16 prestigious original National Key Universities (designated in 1959 and reaffirmed in 1978). With two Shanghai campuses, East China Normal University is comprised of 18 schools and colleges, four advanced research insitutes, multiple interdisciplinary centers and 54 academic departments.
